Last weeks, a couple of 7"s were lying near my turntable, but I could not bring myself to rip them. Every time I stumbled upon a library or other odd lp.
Finally, here is the first one: the second concept single of Passage, About Time, you can say that. It took them about a year to release this after the first one, New Love Songs (which I posted in October last year). The music is a bit like the early Cure and the Monochrome Set. Produced by David Cunningham, who formed and led the Flying Lizards.
Side 1:
Sixteen Hours / Time Delay [7:02]
Side A:
Taking My Time [2:42]
Clock Paradox [2:29]

Dave Vorhaus was the leading man of the White Noise. A lot of people only know his first magnificent lp An Electric Storm, but he made a lot more. To begin with: White Noise 2 till 5.5 (from 3 still available on his site). And a lot of library music on KPM, a.o. Out of the Dark, Sleight of Mind, Mind Games and this one, Sound Conjurer, in collaboration with Dave Bradnum.

Synthesizers Unlimited is a project by Anthony King of whom I don't know much. He performed Soul of the city on the album of Gunther Leonhardt (1971) and collaborated with John Matthews on Pots and Sides (1974).
He also made “Lost star” in the seventies, according to Vitalis on Scopia and you can find some work of King and Chris Vander (Magma?) on Workforce - Percussion Unit from 1980.
Connoisseurs can tell from the picture of the cover it is not an original copy. The typography is different. This is from a bootleg cd.
Notice Electrik with a k
1 Electrik Bazaar
2 Luxury Life Style
3 Maladjusted Moogie
4 Chunnel Boogie
5 Forgotten World
6 Electrostalagtites
7 Electric Storm
8 Sprightly Spirit
9 March of The Elastic Band
10 Main Street - Tibet
11 Toytown Carousel
12 Windswept Rhapsody
13 Funky Dromedary
14 Doctor Ooze
15 Pip-Pip
16 Jet West

On this mini lp, Jah Wobble works again with Holger Czukay (Can). He did that before in 1981 on the excellent 12" How Much Are They? Also available on the Full Circle cd.
The Edge (U2) performs slide guitar on Snake Charmer and lead guitar and atmospherics on Hold On to Your Dreams. This was a one time collaboration.
Side one:
1 Snake charmer [6:09]
2 Hold on to your dreams [8:21]
Side two:
1 It was a camel [5:26]
2 Sleazy [3:43]
3 Snake charmer (reprise) [6:49]
Not shared anymore.

Together with Betrayal, this is the best Jah Wobble lp/ep, to my taste. Totally weird.
I once wanted to do the Wobble version of Blueberry Hill at Paradiso's Latente Talente Show in Amsterdam, but the band didn't know where to begin. At the Debutistenfestival in S61, Roermond, the band did a better job, they saw it as a big joke (but I didn't know where to end).
Anyway, Blueberry Hill is different from the version on the Betrayal lp/cd and Blood Repression never made it to cd.
Side one:
1 Blueberry Hill [3:51]
2 Blueberry Hill (Computer Version) [4:19]
3 I Need You By My Side [3:34]
4 I Need You By My Side (Message From Pluto) [4:44]
Side two:
1 Sea-Side Special [7:37]
2 Something Profound [6:02]
3 Blood Repression [3:57]
